VIRTUALITAS NYATA PADA JURNALISME KOLABORATIF GAZA DALAM MEMANTIK SIMPATI GLOBAL TERHADAP PALESTINA

Jurnalisme kolaboratif yang melibatkan penduduk lokal di Gaza dan komunitas online mewakili budaya virtualitas nyata dalam masyarakat yang terhubung dalam jaringan. Jurnalisme ini telah berhasil mendapatkan simpati dari komunitas global dan mendorong orang untuk turun ke jalan dalam protes, menuntut gencatan senjata segera. Penelitian ini mengadopsi analisis konten dengan Twitter/X sebagai platform komunitas online yang dianalisis. Sebanyak 100 postingan dikumpulkan melalui observasi manual menggunakan teknik snowball sampling, dan postingan-postingan ini ditabulasi untuk memetakan tema-tema yang muncul. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tema pengeboman bangunan mendapatkan interaksi terbanyak di Twitter/X, diikuti oleh tema anak-anak sebagai korban, dan kemudian tema pria sebagai korban. Namun, ada anomali pada tema pria sebagai korban karena emosi mentah yang disajikan dalam sebuah postingan viral. Konsep budaya virtualitas nyata, yang mengisyaratkan pergeseran dari simbolisme tradisional, tidak begitu terlihat dalam jurnalisme kolaboratif di Gaza. Sebaliknya, yang terjadi justru sebaliknya dalam postingan-postingan oleh jurnalis Gaza, mengingat mayoritas penduduk Gaza adalah Muslim.
